The Board of Directors is organizing our next barbecue on Sun. Oct. 15, 2017  from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the back patio at the Hiller Museum. Be sure to save the date.

This year we are going to use a caterer. Nevertheless, there will undoubtedly be tasks that could use volunteer help. This is a great opportunity to meet other members of the Association. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Curt Nehring at cnehring@sbcglobal.net.

Admission to the BBQ is free for paid-up members. Guests of members (including spouses) will be $15 each.

We also hope to have several aircraft on display. This is always a very popular event but it does take some advance planning. If you have an aircraft that you’d like to display, please send an email to webmaster@jonathanjhull.com/scaa2.

This year, to help us better estimate the number of meals we need to prepare, we are asking folks to register in advance on the eventbrite system. All members should have received an invitation by email. If you are a member and haven’t received an invitation, contact webmaster@jonathanjhull.com/scaa2.

Thanks to everyone who came out and met with us at Airport Day 9/30/17. SCAA President Carol Ford, Vice President Michael Baum, Director Rich Newman, Director Jerry Grainger and Director Tom Bria staffed our booth from 10AM to 3PM and met many members of the local community. We were thrilled to have an opportunity to talk about the Airport and general aviation with our friends and neighbors.

Huge kudos to our friends at the other booths and displays!!! And, a massive thank you to Airport staff and members of the organizing committee who made this possible. Together, we presented a fantastic view of San Carlos Airport and our passion for flying.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Airport Day!!!
